This is the Somogear Peq 15 – Tan Housing, Potted, Zeroable, Green Vis + IR Laser w/ Flashlight /Includes Modbutton (no illuminator). These are white light/visible laser units WITH an IR laser. They DO NOT have an IR ILLUMINATOR. I think of these units as being a visible first unit and night vision backup. I love mine and use it for HD. The main mode I use dual white light and visible laser combo. Agai, it does have an IR laser, but in my opinion, the main features are visible laser/light combo. However, I have had messages from folks that used the IR to great effect close their home to dispatch coyotes. These models use the exact same (upgraded) housing as the illuminator model. The funtions on the knobs past the blue screws don’t do anything. So NO FULL POWER. The high power modes are on the Illuminator model. All units go through an extra layer of QC by me. Checking the turrets for proper zero and return to zero. Checking the IR and vis laser divergence isnt excessive. All funtions work as intended. Brand new / everything is included just like how you would get it from somogear. This is the newest model. This is not an illuminator unit. Potting is typically done directly into a plastic housing which has been designed to hold a PCB and allows for access to properly dispense and degas the mixture through pouring, resulting in superior protection. PCB potting services provide protection against physical stress, thermal shock, chemical exposure, heat, and humidity. The unit pictured is the exact model you’ll receive each is serialized. So Serial Numbers will Vary. The is the newest unit with the updated Nylon reinforced housing. Your Peq will be packaged securely in a box (not a bag), so it arrives in pristine condition. All units have some deflection. Deflection is a gap between the visible and IR laser. Meaning they don’t perfectly align. This happens to some extent on every LAM. The reason this occurs is because the Visible and IR lasers are in different housings and are stacked on top of each other. Until the technology progresses to where multiple lasers of different spectrums can be produced from the same diode, this will occur. This is one of the things I thoroughly check to make sure the deflection is within spec and acceptable. Thanks for your consideration.
