The ND (Neutral Density) Filter is a crucial accessory for achieving full control over laser intensity. It reduces the power of the IR laser, minimizing bloom at extended ranges and in high-power mode, while also improving eye safety during operation. A practical example: when running your LA-5 on high-power VIS/IR, the IR laser can be overly bright and wash out your target. By flipping on the ND filter, the IR laser’s intensity is reduced-allowing you to effectively run a high-power IR illuminator with a low-power IR laser simultaneously. This simple yet effective upgrade gives you more precise control over your setup. Exclusively offered by DarkLight Dynamics and made in-house. LA-5C UHP VCSEL Features.
